In 2015, University of Victoria’s Social Dimensions of Health program hosted its first Student Conference. In 2017,  SDH students organized the bi-annual conference. For 2019, following the tradition of student interdisciplinary health inquiry SDH current students are organizing the third bi-annual conference to be held on April 5, 2019.

The SDH Student Conference is an important opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as community partners and members, to gather together, showcase their research and/or community engagement and discuss the intersections of health within all disciplines.

It is with tremendous appreciation and excitement that we present our guest speakers:

Opening Address: Dr. Charlotte Loppie

Keynote Address: Dr. Bernie Pauly

Closing Address: Dr. Nathan Lachowsky

Panel speakers:

Dr. Margo L. Matwychuk

Dr. Debra Sheets

Dr. Liliana Kleiner

M.A. Moussa Magassa

Lindsay Delaronde

Students from across Canada are invited to what will be a rich day of mutual learning and idea sharing. We feel this student conference has immense potential for growth and will be an important voice for the Western Canadian health-concerned student community.
